Kellen Chadwick Racing Seeking Marketing Partners For 2010Kellen Chadwick is beginning his search for marketing partners for the upcoming 2010 racing season. Kellen will be entering his 9th season racing Dirt Modifieds, where he began racing at the age of 15. Kellen completed 2009 with major wins in both Dirt Modifieds and Super Late Models, scoring a DIRTCar Western Allstars Late Model win, and winning the Chowtown Pacific Nationals Modified race. Kellen also made the feature event in the IMCA Las Vegas Duel In The Desert, where 262 cars competed for 24 starting positions. For more of Kellen’s successes, view the Accomplishments page of the enclosed Marketing Brochure. The story behind Kellen is truly amazing and goes well beyond just racing. In February 2008, Just as Kellen was setting his sights to run a full season with a national touring series (Lucas Oil Late Model Series), Kellen was seriously injured in a racing accident in Arizona, where all 7 vertebrae in his neck suffered at least 3 fractures each, along with other fractures in his back. The initial diagnosis was some sort of paralysis for Kellen. Doctors decided to give Kellen a chance to let his body do some of its own repairs before performing life-altering surgeries to fuse bones together. To the surprise of everybody, including the entire medical staff who attended to him, Kellen was sent home after 16 days of hospitalization with a chance….a chance to lead a normal life and able to walk. Kellen was fitted with a halo and sent home to see how his body could heal. After several months of being in the halo, followed up with several months of rehabilitation, things were looking up for a great and miraculous recovery, including walking and able to do “normal” things. Prior to the accident, Kellen spent several years travelling to all parts of the country, racing against some of the best drivers in both Modifieds and Late Models, in the biggest events. He has developed friendships with many of the top drivers in the sport, by earning their respect on the track. He is a proven talent who loves to race and his fellow competitors saw that in him. He also has developed a fan following with fans across the country, which was able to see Kellen come to new places and do well. Back home, he was a Champion and won many races, but Kellen wanted to test himself against the best of the best. When news of his accident was learned, the support from all across the country poured in. Many people, many of whom Kellen had never personally met, sent in money, cards and other get well wishes. The outpouring of support for the then 23 year-old California driver was overwhelming. The encouragement of so many, no doubt helped Kellen get through the tough rehab sessions, as well as the support of his family and friends. In September 2008, Kellen was cleared by his medical team to get behind the wheel of a racecar, if he so desired. In just over six months since the accident, a miraculous recovery had taken place. Kellen certainly still had the desire. He ran several events late in the 2008 season, taking some time to get back that comfort level and confidence needed to compete at a high level. As the family-funded racing team got ready for the 2009 season, they knew that after a tough 2008 season (both emotionally and financially – Kellen works as a racecar fabricator and was unable to work much in 2008), they would have to limit their racing activities. Without major marketing partners to help support him, he would do the best with what they had financially. He made the best of what he had. In May, Kellen sat behind the wheel of his Super Late Model for the 1st time since his accident and competed with the DIRTCar Western Allstars at Chowchilla Speedway. In a truly unbelievable achievement, Kellen drove to victory against some of the best West Coast drivers. Running a limited schedule, Kellen returned to Chowchilla in a Modified in October and won the Chowtown Pacific Nationals, beating top local, regional and national drivers. Kellen is back. It took some time to regain the confidence and comfort, as would be expected after such a traumatic accident. Kellen ended the 2009 season by spending nearly a month on the road, competing in New Mexico, Las Vegas and Arizona. In 2010, Kellen is looking to work with companies to develop a marketing strategy, which will allow him to compete in the biggest events in dirt racing and gain exposure to his marketing partners, both through at the track present, and through his website, KellenChadwick.com. He is hoping to buy brand new cars, those with the latest technology, and compete at the highest levels in both Modifieds and Super Late Models. His story has been well documented and he has been featured in many print, radio and internet publications. Not only are many, many people following Kellen because of his racing, they are following him because of the message he delivers. Kellen often talks of determination, perseverance and hard work as the tools he used to get back behind the wheel of a race car. A marketing partnership with Kellen provides a company a unique chance for recognition. Often times, only the winners get the attention. Kellen gets exposure even when he doesn’t win. People are inspired to watch him, talk to him, and most importantly, support the people and companies who support him. His inspirational rise back to competition goes well beyond racing. If you are looking to support someone who can maximize exposure at a local, regional and even national level, Kellen Chadwick is that person.
